Peñalver (1937-1995), the quintessential 20th Century American Surrealistic Artist of his generation, was a prolific painter before his paralysis in 1979. The ensuing years were challenging as he depicted his transition from walking to wheels in hundreds of paintings.
Celebrating My Right Hand (1982); this glorious watercolor and India ink mixed media by Ricardo is painted as he begins to regain the use of his dominant hand.
