Ricardo Penalver (1937-1995) the quintessential surrealistic artist of his generation, was a prolific artist before and after his paraplegic. This photo of Miles Davis was one of many taken on Ricardo's birthday April 4, 1973. They celebrated their friendship and the commission Ricardo was given to produce Miles' poster at Keystone Korner San Francisco the following April 1974
