Peñalver (1937-1995), the quintessential 20th Century American Surrealistic Artist of his generation, was a prolific painter before his paralysis in 1979. The ensuing years were challenging as he depicted his transition from walking to wheels in hundreds of paintings. Graceful Movement (1980); having lost his ability to dance, Ricardo captures the essence of graceful fluid movement in his art.
