Peñalver (1937-1995), the quintessential 20th Century American Surrealistic Artist of his generation, was a prolific painter before his paralysis in 1979. The ensuing years were challenging as he depicted his transition from walking to wheels in hundreds of paintings. Gumballs (1975); Alexa purchased this yellow gumball machine which Ricardo surrealistically painted as the center of the universe.
