Peñalver (1937-1995), the quintessential 20th Century American Surrealistic Artist of his generation, was a prolific painter before his paralysis in 1979. The ensuing years were challenging as he depicted his transition from walking to wheels in hundreds of paintings. Mustachioed Juggler (1976); was painted by Ricardo as an able-bodied artist. He was always fascinated with spheres, balls and jugglers from all centuries.
