Peñalver (1937-1995), the quintessential 20th Century American Surrealistic Artist of his generation, was a prolific painter before his paralysis in 1979. The ensuing years were challenging as he depicted his transition from walking to wheels in hundreds of paintings. Sphere Power (1989); is Ricardo's esoteric depiction of his walking to wheels transition and his fascination of spheres, movement, balance, jugglers, wheels, and the human spirit.
