Artist's Description
Peñalver (1937-1995), the quintessential 20th Century American Surrealistic Artist of his generation, was a prolific painter before his paralysis in 1979. The ensuing years were challenging as he depicted his transition from walking to wheels in hundreds of paintings. Visions of Romance (1978); a surrealistic painting in the style of Magritte, a romantic view of Ricardo's love for Alexa and it is a testament to his creative genius.
